The terms and conditions detailed below constitute a binding agreement between Julian Parkes Audio Transcriptions, hereafter known as JPAT, and all users of the JPAT website and subsequent audio transcription services, hereafter known as the User or Users.

Disagreement, in part or wholly, with the said terms and conditions precludes the use of the JPAT website and the audio transcription services offered thereon.

The content of the pages of this website is for the User´s general information and use with a view to the potential contracting of audio transcription services only and subject to change without notice.

GDPR compliance statement

Julian Parkes Audio Transcriptions respects and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

A summary of the key ways JPAT complies with these regulations is as follows:

Consent

JPAT explains what the User is consenting to clearly and without ‘legalese’, and ask that the User explicitly consents to contact from us.

Breach Notification

In the event of a breach we will notify affected Users within 72 hours of first having become aware of the breach.

Right to Access

Users can request confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them is being processed, where and for what purpose. Furthermore, JPAT shall provide a copy of the personal data, free of charge in an accessible electronic format.

Right to be Forgotten

Once JPAT has compared the User´s (the subjects') rights to "the public interest in the availability of the data", we may delete the User´s personal data where this has been requested by the User.

Data Portability

JPAT allows the User to receive the personal data concerning him/her, which JPAT will provide in a 'commonly used and machine readable format' and the User has the right to transmit that data to another ‘controller’.

Privacy by Design

JPAT implements appropriate technical and organisational measures in an effective way in order to meet the requirements of this Regulation and protect the rights of data subjects. JPAT holds and processes only the data absolutely necessary for the completion of JPAT´s audio transcription processing requirements (data minimisation), as well as limiting the access to personal data to those needing to carry out the said processing.

Section 1 - What does JPAT do with your information?

If the User chooses to fill in a contact form on the JPAT website, JPAT will store that information for 6 months and only use it for the purpose of contacting the User in relation to that enquiry.

When the User browses the JPAT site, JPAT also automatically receives the User´s computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide JPAT with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing: With the User´s explicit permission, JPAT may send the User emails about JPAT´s services and other updates.

Section 2 - Consent

How does JPAT get the User´s consent?

When the User provides us with personal information, JPAT will ask the User to explicitly consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If JPAT requests your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, JPAT will either ask the User directly for expressed consent, or provide the User with an opportunity to say no.

How does the User withdraw his/her consent?

If after opting-in, the User changes his/her mind, the User may, at any time, withdraw consent for JAPT to make contact or for the continued collection, use or disclosure of personal information by contacting JPAT at info@julianparkesaudiotranscriptions.com or writing to: Julian Parkes Audio Transcriptions, Carril de Las Escuelas, 20, La Arboleja, Murcia, 30009, España.

Section 3 - Disclosure

JPAT may disclose the User´s personal information if required by law to do so.

Section 4 - Data Storage

The User´s data is stored on JPAT´s personal computer hard drive and protected by firewall, secure server encryption and multi-layer password access.

Section 5 - Third-party services & links

In general, the third-party providers rarely used by JPAT will only collect, use and disclose the User´s information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to JPAT.

Where the User clicks on an external link on JPAT´s site, were such an external link to be added in future, the User may directed away from our site. In such cases, JPAT is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourages the User to read the relevant privacy statements and policies in detail.

Section 6 – Security

To protect the User´s personal information, JPAT takes reasonable precautions and follows industry best practices to ensure the said personal information is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If the User provides JPAT with personal information, the said information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with industry-standard encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, JPAT implements and maintains generally accepted industry standards.

Section 7 – Cookies

Google Analytics – JPAT uses Google Analytics to measure how JPAT´s website is used by visitors and to generate reports for JPAT´s own statistical use. Google Analytics does not collect any personally identifiable information about the User.

Section 8 - Changes to this privacy policy

JPAT reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. The User is requested therefore to review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If JPAT makes material changes to this policy, JPAT will notify the User here that it has been updated, so that the User is fully aware of what information JPAT collects, how it is used by JPAT, and under what circumstances, if any, JPAT uses and/or discloses it.
